Ahror Kosimi
(aka Night Runner)
Race Director

Ahror is a driving force behind the running movement in Tajikistan, blending performance, community, and adventure into one continuous journey. He is the founder of DAV.TJ and the organizer of weekly group runs held across multiple cities, creating a culture where running is accessible, social, and inspiring. Through his coaching, many beginners have progressed into confident intermediate runners, building both skill and discipline. As an endurance athlete, Ahror leads from the front, completing more than 750 half-marathon–distance runs and maintaining an extraordinary streak of over 2,300 consecutive running days, covering more than 20,000 kilometers in just two years.

His endurance achievements include finishing the 100K Tengri Ultra trail race in Kazakhstan, completing multiple 100K ultramarathons, and conquering the 100-mile distance. He is also the Tajikistan Backyard Ultra champion, winning with 24 loops, a true test of mental and physical resilience. Beyond racing, Ahror organizes major events such as hiking events, as well as the 7 Lakes and Iskandarkul marathons, and a 24-hour Earth Day relay race. He is also actively involved in organizing orienteering competitions and developing Backyard Ultra in Tajikistan, while continuing to explore new mountain routes and inspire others to embrace an active, healthy lifestyle.

Our Mission & Vision

Growing Sport

We want to see the sport of running grow in Tajikistan among local communities of healthy runners. Our co-worker Ahror started Dav.tj with this idea in mind and is recruiting more locals to the sport each year.

Global Exposure

So few in media and sport have heard of the vast beauty and adventure that awaits in Tajikistan. We want to encourage the global tourism sector to take note of the possibilities Tajikistan has to offer.

Sponsors & Partners

We have been pleased to work with some amazing sponsors to help make Tajik Mountain Traverse possible.
